Cyberattacks and incidents can now spread across national borders within a very short period of time. In such an environment, rapid and well-coordinated cybersecurity response has become critically important.
RFC 2350, officially titled “Expectations for Computer Security Incident Response”, is an internationally recognized standard that defines how CERT/CSIRT teams should publicly and clearly present their mission, responsibilities, services, and contact information. This helps build trust, strengthen collaboration between organizations, and ensure timely and effective responses to cyber incidents.
Today, both public and private CERT/CSIRT teams publish their RFC 2350 documents on their official websites in accordance with this standard, contributing to greater transparency and international cooperation. This has become a common practice among many CERT/CSIRTs around the world.
The National National CSIRT of Mongolia has now officially published its RFC 2350 document in line with this international standard. This document clearly outlines the team’s mission, responsibilities, services, and contact information, aiming to enhance domestic and international cooperation and strengthen the country’s capacity to respond to cyber incidents.
